Keep, share and take out

Keeping, revising and sharing an analysis

Your work is kept as you go; under a name it has revisions and can be shared.

Your work is kept

The analysis you are working on is kept for you, in this Tenant: come back or reload, and it is as you left it.

Under a name

The Analysis bar keeps an analysis under a name.

  • Save asks a name and a description the first time, and after that keeps the pivot as it is now as a new revision; the bar says the revision, or that the pivot has changed since it was saved.
  • Save as… keeps it as another analysis under another name.
  • Open… lists the analyses you may open — yours, the ones shared with you, and governed ones you may read — each with its Entity, whose it is, when it was saved and its revision; Delete (pressed twice) removes one of your own.
  • Revisions… lists every time it was saved: an earlier one is opened onto the screen, and saved it becomes the newest.

Sharing

Share… says who else opens your analysis: Private — only you; Shared with members — the members of the Tenant you tick; Governed — whoever may read governed workspaces.

Only its owner saves over an analysis, shares it or deletes it; someone it is shared with keeps a copy of their own with Save as…. An analysis is a pivot's shape, not its numbers: whoever opens it reads the records through their own authority, so a field they may not read is left out for them, and said.
