Filtering by text, date or value
Keep items by their label, records by their date, or items by their total — Top 10 among them.
The filters
- Label filter… keeps items by their text: equals, begins with, ends with, contains, greater or less than, between.
- Date filter… (on a date) keeps records by their date, whatever the field is grouped by: a day, before, after, between, or a named period such as this month, last quarter or year to date.
- Value filter… keeps items by their total of a value.
- Top 10… keeps the top or bottom items by a value: so many items, a percentage, or a sum.
Each form says what it will keep before Apply is there.
How they combine
- A value filter and Top 10 are taken within each item of the field above, and every total is then computed from what is kept.
- A new filter on a field replaces the one it had, unless you press One filter a field above the grid to let a field hold Several filters a field.
