An empty cell, and the error text
What a cell with nothing in it means, and when a cell shows the error text instead of a number.
Empty
A cell with nothing to summarise is empty, not zero: no record stands under it, or its records have no value in that field. Design sets a text to show there instead.
The error text
- A calculated field or item divides by zero.
- A value shown as a share or a difference has a base that is not there, or is zero.
- A standard deviation or a variance has fewer than two values.
Design sets the text an error cell shows.
