Where it differs from Excel
Analysis computes as Excel's PivotTable does, with a few differences that are on purpose.
The differences
- The source is an Entity's records as you may read them, not a range of cells: there is nothing to refresh a range for, and a field you may not read is not offered.
- A record can stand under several items of one field (a field marked several); Excel has no such field.
- Totals are always computed from the records. Excel does the same for its own functions, so the numbers agree.
- In a grouped date or number, records with no value stand under (blank), the last item; Excel puts them first, with what is below the start.
- Count numbers is headed "Count Numbers of …"; Excel heads it "Count of …", as it does Count.
- Excel has neither a time zone nor a fiscal year; here both are the Tenant's.
