Platform administrator

You run inlorus's top scope: accounts, identity and access, roles, policies and the platform's configuration are yours.

The platform administrator works in inlorus's top scope. You open accounts, see who is on the platform and which role they hold, and decide which keys a role grants. The decisions you make here flow down to every account and every tenant.

That is why what you need most is a preview. The Roles screen shows who will gain and who will lose before you change a role's keys; the Policies screen shows the floors the scopes below cannot relax. The Policies, Security and platform Configuration screens are read-only today.

Before you start, read the concepts of scopes and permission keys. In inlorus, authority comes from an assignment, not from a key: the same role.write key applies on the platform when it is granted on the platform, and in an account when it is granted in that account.

Start here

  1. Read how platform, account and tenant nest inside each other, and why authority comes from an assignment.
  2. See the accounts on the Platform Administration screen; open a new account or change one's status.
  3. On the Identity & Access screen, review who is on the platform, which role they hold and which invites are pending.
  4. Before you change a role's keys, preview on the Roles screen who will gain and who will lose.
  5. On the Policies screen, read the rules in force and the floors the scopes below cannot relax.
