“… cannot be weaker than the scope above's value”
The configuration value you wrote in the tenant was refused because it is looser than the floor set by the scope above.
For: Tenant administrator, Account administrator, Platform administrator
Symptom
- After you write a value on the Configuration screen, this appears: “"key" cannot be weaker than the scope above's value — the scope above has set a floor on this key. You can write a stricter value, but not a looser one.”
- Or: “The value is written as JSON: for example the number 30, on/off true, the text "required".”
- Or: “Key is required.”
Cause
- Floor (
POLICY_FLOOR_WEAKENED): the account or the platform has set a lower bound for this setting. The tenant can tighten it but not relax it; there is no exemption path. - JSON (
INVALID_JSON): the value could not be read as JSON. Text values must be written in quotes. - Key (
KEY_REQUIRED): the key field was left empty while adding a new value.
Fix
- For a floor refusal, read the floor's value on the account's or the platform's Policies screen, and write a stricter value that stays within it.
- If a looser value is really needed, talk to the administrator of the scope that set the floor.
- For a JSON refusal, write the value again: the number
30, on/offtrue, the text"required".
