Parts of the console: menu, scope switcher, ⌘K, account menu and Help

The console opens with the same frame on every screen. Once you know its parts, you can find your way in any scope.

For: Platform administrator, Builder, Account administrator, Tenant administrator, Operator, Auditor, Member

The menu on the left

The menu has two levels. On the left are its areas, drawn from what the pages are for: Home, Records, Applications (in a tenant), Build, People and access, Settings and Operations and audit. Next to them are the pages of the area you chose, in the scope you are in. Records is one entry: Explorer, Navigator, Sheet and Analysis are its lenses, in the bar at its top. Model is one entry for the Metadata, Workflow & EntityView and Action & Runtime designers.

  • A page your roles do not open never appears in the menu, and an area with no such page is not drawn; nothing is shown as disabled.
  • When you change scope, the menu shows that scope's pages; the areas keep their order.
  • Each level shows its names to the right, below its icons, or icons only: the small triangles at its top move it a step, and your choice is kept for your next visit.
  • In Records and the Model tool the menu is one rail of icons, so the work has the width: point at it (or move to it with the keyboard) and it opens over the page; its pin keeps it open beside the page, and your choice is kept. The scope, Search, Help and your account menu are then at the end of the tool's own bar.
  • On a phone the menu is a layer opened with the button at the top.

Scope switcher

It sits in the top bar, after the Inlorus logo. If you have a place on the platform, in an account or in a tenant, you switch between them here. If you have only one scope, it just shows that scope's name.

Search… and ⌘K

The Search… button or ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) opens the command input. You go to the sections of your current scope and to your own account pages by typing; select with the arrow keys, open with Enter, close with Escape.

Account menu

It is at the top right, on your initial. Under four headings it holds only pages that belong to you: your account (identity, security, sessions and devices), your preferences, your access and your activity. Sign out is always at the bottom.

Help panel

Every screen has a Help button in its title bar. Pressing it opens a panel on the right that explains what the screen is for, what you can do there and what to watch out for. If you move to another page while the panel is open, the help switches to that page's too.

The panel shows the same text as the screen guide in this help center and brings you here with the Open in Help center link. Escape closes the panel.

Tip On wide screens the panel sits beside the content; on narrower screens it opens over the content.
