How-to

See where a permission comes from

The My Access screen shows your memberships, your role assignments and, in the scope you pick, which assignment each permission comes from.

For: Platform administrator, Builder, Account administrator, Tenant administrator, Operator, Auditor, Member

Steps

  1. Open the My Access screen from the account menu.
  2. In the Memberships section, see every scope you belong to and where that link comes from.
  3. In your role assignments, see each assignment's role, scope and how long it has been in place.
  4. Pick one of your scopes. Your effective permissions in that scope and the source of each are listed.

Reading it

  • A permission marked Inherited comes from a role assignment in a higher scope. The delete (purge) permission is never inherited.
  • Risk comes from the key's verb: purge critical, publish high, write medium, read low.
  • This screen shows only your own access, and nothing can be changed from here. For a role or permission, contact the scope's admin.

Tip Look up the key from a refusal message here: if that key is not in the list for the selected scope, the refusal is correct and the person who can give you the role is that scope's admin.
