Case

The screen says “This screen works in a tenant scope”

The screen you opened is for another scope. The console tells you the scope you are in right now; you switch to the right scope with the scope switcher.

For: Platform administrator, Account administrator, Tenant administrator, Operator, Auditor, Builder

What happened

You opened a screen, and instead of content it showed “This screen works in a tenant scope” with an explanation below it such as “The console is currently in the … scope.” The Operations screen may also say “For platform health, switch to the platform with the scope switcher in the top bar.”

Why it happens

Every screen works in a scope: tenant configuration in a tenant, platform health on the platform, account policies in an account. While the console is in another scope, the screen cannot know what to show. This usually happens when you reach another scope's screen from a link or with ⌘K.

What inlorus does

  • It does not fill the screen with data from the wrong scope.
  • It states which scope you are in and which scope the screen needs.

What you do

  1. Open the scope switcher in the top bar.
  2. Switch to the scope the screen needs (the platform, your account or a tenant).
  3. If that scope is not in the scope switcher, you have no place there; ask the scope's admin for a role.

How to keep it from happening again

  • On the My Preferences screen, choose the scope you work in most as the scope to open at sign-in.
