I signed in but no area opens
The menu and the home screen say “No area has been opened for you”. Signing in is not the same as having a place in a scope; a place comes with a membership and a role assignment.
What happened
You signed in. The menu says “No area has been opened for you.” and the home screen shows “No area has been opened for you in any scope. Talk to your admin for access.”
Why it happens
A user account gets you into inlorus but does not put you in any scope. What you see in a scope depends on the role you hold there; if you have no memberships or role assignments, there is no area to show. If you came through an invite, the invite may not have been accepted yet.
What inlorus does
- It does not leave you on a blank screen; it states why it is empty.
- If you have no tenant membership yet, it suggests setting up your own organisation on the Getting started screen.
- On the My Access screen it shows plainly that you have no memberships or roles.
What you do
- If you received an invite, open the link in the email and accept it while signed in with the address the invite was sent to.
- If you need to join an organisation, ask that organisation's admin for an invite.
- If you are going to set up your own organisation, open your account and your first tenant on the Getting started screen.
- Check your memberships on the My Access screen; if a membership is shown but no area opens, ask that scope's admin for a role.
How to keep it from happening again
- As an admin, pick a role for someone when you invite them too; a membership alone does not open a work area.
