Selecting records and the highlight

A selection lights up what is related to it in every other column.

Selecting

  • Click a record to select it: a click selects only that record and clears the selection in every column. Ctrl + click (⌘ + click on a Mac) adds to the selection with OR, in the same column or another, Ctrl + Shift + click with AND. To link two records with Add relation, click one and Ctrl-click the other. Records related to the selection are highlighted in the other columns, stronger the closer they are.

The highlight

The selected card is marked in the selection colour; cards related to it take the related colour, a colour of their own that is never the selection's, stronger the closer they are. Where the theme's palette has no colour that keeps apart from the selection, related cards are grey, and the two nearest steps have a stronger edge. The records sit on the quietest ground of your light level, so these colours stand out. View sets the highlight scale (Per Column / Global) and the selection mode (OR / AND).

Tip × Clear clears the selection and the highlight, and keeps the active filter in the expression bar.
