The record view
One record's fields, computed values, actions, relations and history.
Open record
- Select one record and press Open record at the foot of its column to see all its fields, correct them, delete the record, see and unlink its relations, or read its history.
- The record view opens on the right of the columns and stays open while you work: select another record in the same column and it shows that one; open a record in another column and it takes the view's place. Drag its left edge to make it wider or narrower (or use ← / → on the edge). Close (×) or Escape closes it. Selecting more than one record closes it too, as it shows one record.
Computed values and actions
The record view lists the record's computed values under its fields, each marked computed and calculated when you open the record. A value that cannot be calculated for the record says why instead of showing a guess.
Actions lists the actions defined for the record's entity. One you can run has Run; one you cannot is listed with the reason (you lack the permission it needs, or it does not apply to the record as it is now). Running an action needs record.write and the action's own permission, decided on the server. An action that asks for a confirmation asks for a reason, or its key typed out, before it runs, and the result is said in words.
