Deleting and restoring

A deleted record leaves the columns and can be brought back.

Deleting and restoring

Delete asks first. A deleted record leaves every column, its counts and its relation lines; its relations are kept and come back with it. Show deleted records in the column menu lists the column's deleted records with Restore. A deleted record is removed for good only through Data Governance.

While the record or the whole tenant is under a legal hold, Delete and Restore are not offered: the record view, and the deleted list, say why in their place (a held record can still be corrected). A record of a system entity cannot be deleted, and its record view says so. The server refuses these writes as well.

  • Choose Show deleted records in the column menu to see the column's deleted records and restore one.
