Imported sheets

A sheet you uploaded, as it arrived, before it is mapped into an entity.

Imported sheets

A sheet you upload on Import a sheet (the button at the top of the imported world; it opens beside the records) is staged as it is, and each staged sheet is a column here. Its columns are the sheet's header, in order, each typed by what its values read as: whole numbers, decimals, true/false, dates, dates with times, long text or text. So Filter by, Sort by and Group by work as they do for records, before anything is written. Two columns follow the sheet's own: Row (its line in the sheet) and Import status (parsed, validated, committed or failed).

The rows are read only here. The column footer's Map into an entity opens the sheet's mapping step: choose the field of the sheet's entity each column becomes (or Skip it), and every row is checked against its field's rules. Write the rows as records then makes each row that passed a new record; rows with an error are left out, never written. Staging, mapping and writing each need record.write in the tenant.

Keep in mind A sheet is a CSV file or an Excel workbook (.xlsx); a workbook with several sheets asks which one, and its dates, numbers, true/false values and formulas (as the values saved with them) arrive as such. An Excel 97–2003 workbook (.xls) or a password-protected one is saved as .xlsx or CSV first. A sheet is staged for one entity the tenant can use (its own, or one its account or the platform shares with it), chosen when it is uploaded; the records it becomes are the tenant's; every row becomes a new record (updating records that match a key is not offered here). A sheet has no links between its rows, so there is nothing to walk; the bar says so.
