Application workspace
The workspace of an application you have chosen. The header shows the application's name, the tabs at the top switch between workspaces, and below is that workspace's content.
For: Member
What's on this screen
- Header: the application's name.
- Tabs: the menu items in the application's published configuration; the open workspace is marked. If you are a member of more than one Tenant, the Tenant switcher is here too.
- Back to Catalog: to open another application.
- Content: the screen drawn for the workspace's type. The only type that works today is Explorer.
The address is made of the application key and the workspace key. When you refresh the page or share the address, the same workspace opens.
States
| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
| The requested workspace is not defined in this application. | The workspace in the address is not in the published version, or it is switched off. |
| This workspace type is not supported yet. | The workspace is defined with a type other than Explorer; there is no screen for that type yet. |
In an Explorer-type workspace, the designer's settings apply: the entities it opens with, and whether columns and relations can be added. Fields that belong to the application appear only here, and where the application has its own view of an entity, the column reads through it; the domain view of such a column cannot be switched inside the application, and its Domain view menu says so.
Tip Actions such as creating a record or adding a relation go through their own checks, independent of the workspace's settings. For how to use Explorer, see the Explorer topic.
