Configuration
For the Tenant the console is in, shows the value in effect for each configuration definition and where that value comes from; you write values for this Tenant here.
For: Tenant administrator
What's on this screen
The top line summarises: how many definitions there are, how many values are in this Tenant's own record, how many come from the Account, how many from the Platform, and how many keys have no definition. Below it, each key shows its value, source, description, the scopes where it can be changed, and the date of the last change.
| Badge | Meaning |
|---|---|
| set in this tenant | The value is in this Tenant's own record. |
| from the account | This Tenant hasn't saved it; the Account's value is in effect. |
| from the Platform | Neither the Tenant nor the Account has saved it; the Platform's value is in effect. |
| definition default | No scope has a record; the definition's own default applies. |
| no value | There is neither a record nor a default. |
What you can do
- Type the new value as JSON in a row's box: a number like
30, on/off liketrue, text like"required". - If the value comes from above, the button says Write to this tenant: once you save, the Tenant no longer inherits and carries its own record. If it's already its own record, the button says Save.
- For a key that isn't in the list, use the Write a key to this tenant field at the bottom.
In the Take defaults section, Take the account's values or Take the Platform's values deletes all the values in this Tenant's own record and copies the values in the chosen scope's own record. This is a copy, not a link; changes made above later aren't reflected here.
Keep in mind Take defaults runs without asking for confirmation and can't be undone. Keys that aren't in the chosen scope's own record aren't copied; if that scope has no record at all, all of the Tenant's own values end up deleted.
Good to know
- For some keys the parent scope sets a floor:
security.mfaMode,lifecycle.regulatoryRetentionDaysand the three limit keys starting withperformance.. You can write a stricter value; a looser one is rejected when you save, and the screen says why. - Secret values are never shown and can't be changed from this screen.
Tip Seeing it needs config.read in this Tenant; writing needs config.write. If the console is in the Platform or Account scope, the screen shows you that scope's Configuration screen.
