Change a configuration value in a tenant
On the Configuration screen you write a setting's value for this tenant. The value is entered as JSON; it cannot be looser than the higher scope's floor.
For: Tenant administrator
Prerequisite
config.read in the tenant to see, config.write to change.
Steps
- Switch to the tenant with the scope switcher and open Configuration under Settings.
- On the row of the setting you want to change, check where the value comes from: is it set in this tenant, or does it come from the account or the Platform?
- Write the new value as JSON: a number like
30, on/off liketrue, text like"required". - Save. It says “Saved — this value is now in this tenant's own record.”
Good to know
- For a key the tenant has no record for, the account's value is in effect first, and if there is none, the Platform's.
- If a setting has a floor from a higher scope, you can write a stricter value but not a looser one. The refusal is shown when you try.
- You can replace all of the tenant's values at once with the account's or the Platform's current values. This puts that scope's values in place of the tenant's.
- Secret values are never shown under any circumstances.
