Applications
Shows the applications in this Tenant and which of them can actually open; for every application that can't open, it gives the reason and the status of the capabilities the Tenant has requested.
For: Tenant administrator, Operator
What's on this screen
- A summary at the top: how many applications there are, how many are running, and how many capabilities aren't installed.
- On the left, This tenant's applications: the ones that can't open are at the top, each with its key, name and runtime status. Choose one to open it on the right: its Domain, the published version number, why it can or cannot open, where it comes from and its workspaces (the default one and the disabled ones marked). The address keeps the choice (
?open=). - With no application chosen, the right side shows Requested capabilities: the capabilities the Tenant has asked for, and their install status.
What it means
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| published | A published version exists; an Open application link appears. |
| not published | The runtime is set up, but no version has been published; the application doesn't open. The latest version's number and status are shown. |
| not installed | The runtime has never been set up in this Tenant; the application doesn't open. |
| Capability: installed / installing / install failed / requested, not installed | The capability's install status in this Tenant. |
- published says a published version exists; it doesn't measure whether the application is up at that moment.
- Workspaces are read only from the published version; workspaces edited in a draft don't appear here.
- A capability being installed doesn't mean an application from it has been published in this Tenant.
- Which capability version an application comes from isn't recorded today; the screen says so plainly with "not recorded".
Good to know
Keep in mind Nothing can be changed from this screen. Requesting capabilities and starting installs is done on the Capabilities screen; turning an Application on or off for the Tenant is done on the Domain & Application Management screen.
Tip Seeing it needs application.read in this Tenant. The capabilities section needs capability.read; if you don't have the permission, the section states the missing permission instead of showing an empty list. The screen fills in for the Tenant the console is in.
