Tenants
You see every Tenant under your Account, open a new Tenant and change a Tenant's status.
Which Account you are looking at
The screen shows the Account your selected Tenant belongs to. If you are a member of more than one Tenant, a Tenant switcher appears at the top; to move to another Account, select a Tenant in that Account. If you are not a member of any Tenant, the screen says no Account you can manage was found.
On the left, every Tenant of the Account: its short key, name, status and member count. Choose one to open it on the right with its status and the moves it allows; the address keeps the choice (?open=). With none chosen, the right side holds the form that creates a Tenant.
What you can do
- For a new Tenant, with no Tenant chosen in the list, type the name in the Create new Tenant box and press Create. The key is generated from the name.
- To suspend, reactivate or close a Tenant, choose it in the list and use the Set to … buttons beside it.
A new Tenant starts with a one-time copy of the configuration values recorded in the Account at that moment; later changes in the Account are not reflected in this copy.
Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | Records can be created and written in the Tenant. |
| Suspended | Writing to the Tenant is blocked; it can be made Active again. |
| Closed | Permanent; it cannot be reopened. |
Keep in mind Closing asks for no confirmation. Also, if the Account itself has been suspended or closed on the platform, Tenants shown as Active here cannot be written to either.
Who can do what
Seeing the list requires scope.read in the Account; opening a Tenant and changing status require scope.write in the Account. Without write permission, the create box is replaced by who can grant it.
