Records

Records

A grid over the tenant's records built from its headers: related entities, readings, editing a record from its cell.

Records

  1. Press Records above the sheet. The grid is now the tenant's records: you build it from its headers.
  2. Press + Add a column and choose an entity, then a field: each row is one of its records. The next column offers the entity's other fields and the entities related to it, up to three relations away; a related entity's field can be read as a list, a count, the first, a sum, an average, or one row each.
  3. Type in a cell to change the record's value. It is checked as the field's type and rules ask, and written as Explorer writes it; a value that cannot be taken is refused in a sentence and stays in its cell.
  4. Sort and filter a column from its header: they run over every record, not only the rows on the screen.
  5. From Explorer, a column's menu has Open in Sheet; from Navigator, a type's menu. Records opens on that entity's fields, and the column's filter comes along where Sheet can say it — the screen names any part that could not.

A grid reads at most five thousand records of an entity for now; one with more says so — open it in Explorer to narrow it.
