Formulas and functions
A formula, Excel's functions with ; between their arguments, and the list under the cell while you type.
Formulas and functions
- A value that begins with = is a formula:
=A1*2,=SUM(B2:B9). It is computed as you type, out of the screen's way: a large sheet does not stop while it is. - Functions have their English names, and their arguments are separated by ; —
=ROUND(A1/3;2), as Turkish Excel writes them. Numbers in a formula are written as you write numbers:=A1*2,5. - While you type a function's name, the functions it begins are listed under the cell with their arguments. Choose one, or keep typing.
- Sixty-seven of Excel's core functions are here — sums and counts, rounding, text, dates, lookups, conditions — each checked against what Excel gives.
