Who owns a view

A view belongs to whoever owns its entity. In a tenant you make views of the tenant's own entities (an entity of your own may inherit from a platform entity), in the platform's domains; they are the tenant's and no other tenant sees them. A view of a platform entity is the platform's: in a tenant it is listed with its values and “Defined at the Platform; change it there.” instead of its controls, and it is read through its domain in Explorer.

A field made in a view (domain or application specific) is the tenant's own, on the tenant's own entity; on a platform entity it is refused with that sentence. Binding a field the entity inherits from a platform entity is allowed: binding reads it and does not change it.

In a tenant the EntityView tab lists every view the tenant reads, the way Explorer reads them: its own views, and the platform's views of platform entities in the domains it sees. The platform's are read only here.
